With a small population like Harrisburg you would be surprised to know that we actually have several local sports teams chief among them is the Harrisburg Senators. The Harrisburg Senators are the AA club for the Washington Nationals and they're a great team that has won the AA World Series in the past.
Also in this group is the Harrisburg Stadium which is voted one of the best AA ball stadiums in all the US. They host special days, live events and offer an overall great experience. The food is top-notch and Facilities are great they're worth going to to take in a game.
Added to this is the Penn FC soccer team that is based in the field right next door to the baseball team they have a great facility and they play semi-pro soccer on a regular basis.
The young men that make up these two teams are also a big part of the Harrisburg area you can see them working in restaurants and spending time at the gym at the YMCA.
There are also several High school teams some of which have won championships in the past.
Little Harrisburg is A Sports town.
If you’re looking to have fun at the baseball game for relatively cheap I would highly recommend the Harrisburg Senators tickets are not expensive the food is not terribly expensive either and they have some great restaurants in the stadium.
Do you want to make it a really special day? Try getting a luxury box for one of the Harrisburg Senators games. You can bring your whole family and enjoy the air conditioning. watch the game while checking it out on the TV in the luxury box and you have a good chance of catching a fly ball.
